A very special campground in AZ.......

...........is one we have not yet found.

Somewhat close to the CA border near Hwy 8 or Hwy 10 and inland a couple hundred miles or less.

Not a CG with hundreds of sites. No noise from planes, trains and traffic. Lots of space between sites. Allows dogs over 40#.

Cost not a concern. Don't need pool, clubhouse, activities, exercise room, etc.

Just a CG where we can vegetate for a couple of weeks.

I have the new 2014 GS RV Travel Guide and know about rvparkreviews.com and some other websites......but I was hoping someone out there can point two old fuddy duddies to a place we will like.

Thanks in advance

How about this one near Tonopah, AZ:
Saddle Mountain RV Park

We were going to stay there this winter but it didn't work out to be able to be gone from home that long. Quiet, no trains, no traffic, no airplanes, dog runs, over a 1/2 mile from I-10.

Big sites, clean, well kept, 9.5/9.0/10 Big Sam rating, very reasonable rates, scenery. I could see myself vegetating there for a whole winter.

Sounds like you are describing one of the many short term BLM sites (dry camping) between Yuma and Quartzite, AZ!

LDSP is a state park with lots of hookups (and some without). You can stay at a site for 14 days..... and if you want, and there is room.....move to another site at LDSP for another 14 days.

Great pictures.
It adds so much seeing the pictures to understand the campground.
Makes me want to go.
Thanks
