A lot of real estate in the area, what direction and Highway are you going to be near?

Not sure you are looking for a campground or just a quick overnight? if just a quickie, we stayed at Lowes one night in Abilene in March this year. Asked permission and they had us park in the back which was a huge and quiet place. Bonus was Lowes has free Wifi. In March we didn't need A/Cs so didn't need 50 amp and worked for us for about a 10 hr stop over.

For a one nite stopover either of these should work for you. Enjoy your trip!

*Disclaimer* There is extensive oil field related activity in that area and availability may be reduced.

Go to Google Maps. Focus on Abilene and type "RV parks" in the search bar.

Several will pop up.

If you are a veteran, the VFW has a RV park. It is close to the gate to the air base.

There is a KOA on I-20 on the west side of town. It is on the south side of the interstate.

We did a one nighter there at an RV park which is across the highway from the base, right off the north end of the runway. Boy, those planes sure get your attention on takeoff. Since we are USAF Retired and former aviators, we sure enjoyed the sights and the sounds of those planes.

We've stayed at the Abilene KOA before. Nothing fancy but nice enough with shade and full hook-ups. Getting there is tricky though. You have to head west on the I-20 feeder and then make a sudden sharp turn under I-20 to go back east. Really tight but doable pulling a toad. It's a couple of hundred yards back east to the KOA entrance. Just keep a sharp eye out for the turn and take it slow.
