Adirondack Balloon Fest - NY

Do any of the Lake George area campgrounds have views of the launched balloons? I've called a few (Lake George RV Park and Lake George Resort). They both said they don't. It sounds like it would be fun to watch, but I have no desire to camp at the airport, and they don't allow dogs. Can't believe there isn't a campground in the area with a view of the balloons. Any suggestions?

The only real place to view the balloons from your RV is the camping at the airport. We visited last year and stayed there.

It was a good time. Not sure if you can still book the airport though as you need to mail registration to them.

If you decide to drive in, get there early as the cars will be backed up starting at 5:30am for the morning launch. You can walk right up the balloons as they are filling them and preparing to launch.
