Has anyone every attended the Adirondack Balloon Festival? Has anyone ever stayed at the event compared to an RV Park? We were thinking of trying to make it this year. I am sure my kids would love to see all the hot air balloons. It looks like many take off in the early morning, so staying on site may just be the ticket... Downside is dry camping all weekend...

We attend every year and love it. Although there are several nice parks in the area, if you stay someplace off site, the traffic coming to the festival in the morning is a nightmare. I would agree that the downside is the dry camping, but the sight of the balloons is amazing. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Thanks, we went ahead and have reservations to camp on site. My kids have been checking out the photos of the speciality balloons on their Facebook page.
