We will be heading to Ft. Wilderness in the near future and will be staying one night at a campground on the way. I looked at Eagles Roost in Lake Park, has anyone stayed there, and if so, your thoughts?

Thanks

We stayed at Inn and Out rv park a few times.$27 for a night with full hook-up. They also own a gas station on premises as you drive in with an easy pull up . It was most acceptable for an evening

we have stayed there many times, has water, elect., sewage and cable sites, it is right beside i-75 so it is easy own and off, has restaurants at exit, including a cracker barrel, propane also available. and laundry and rest rooms with showers. there is also a k.o.a. on the other side of 75 at this same exit.

bobnshirlene,
It's been a couple of years, but we stayed there on our way north one night when we got a late start. We've talked about staying there a couple of times on our way home, but another 3 - 3 and half hours and we're home so we've generally skipped it. Like faye said, easy on and off, right next to 75, and pull-thrus with everything you need.

Have never stayed at Eagles Roost because we did not like the looks of the park. It's next to a flea market with cars parked everywhere and the campground itself has way too many trees.

We have stayed at In and Out in Lake City and would not recommend it either. Too many permanent residents/workers in old units. WiFi is "stolen" from nearby motel.

Would recommend Casey Jones which is the next exit past the In & Out.

Another place to suggest which is at Tiffin GA is the Agricultural Center. It's ideal for overnight - w/e in their actual parking lot.

this park is beside a flea market that is open fri, sat., and sunday////there are beautiful moss drapped oak trees and the spaces are large enough for even big rigs, staff very nice and we have stayed there many times without any incident, it is well patroled we have never seen anyone from the flea market in the park ..many campers actually visit the flea market, it is usually closed by 5 in the evening and everyone gone, however there is a large koa at same exit on the opposite side of the road. we plan to stay there this week-end. the cars are only parked at the flea market, not in the park.
