No problem entering from east, in fact nice scenic ride. Cody is a nice little town with lots of history. Did run with 45' & tow.

It is doable; inside the gate it is all uphill, with a lot of curves, until you get over the summit (about 4-6% grade) @ 30-35 MPH, with a few turnouts to allow traffic to pass. Regular 2-lane road with no shoulders in many places.
