Advise for first-timers to Nova Scotia

We're leaving Ohio with passports in hand for Nova Scotia in a couple weeks, staying for a few days at the North Sydney KOA. Never been to NS before...very few times to Canada for that matter. Any suggestions for new visitors going there - sights, what not to do, etc?

In my opinion a better CG would be Bras d' Or Lake Campground http://brasdorlakescampground.com/ It is better located for access to the Cabot Trail and is right on the lake. It's about 3 miles from Baddeck. Get ready for some really beautiful scenery.

Thanks and looks like a great place, but their website says they open June 15...unfortunately we'll be there just before.

Here is a thread on trip to N. S., P.E.I., N.B. and sites to see. Have taken number of trips great time. Mileage is short to most areas once your in Canada.
When traveling on #95 take #9 out of Bangor, Maine to Calais, Maine, you will cross border at this point and its a short ride on #1 to campground in St. Johns N.B. from there its a day ride to Halifax, N.S., Shubie Park is across from Halifax in Dartmouth.
