To tell you the truth, I never noticed, we did go by Annie's......everything at this time of the season should be open...we where in Tok in early May, and left Tok last weekend on a Sunday hoping to travel at a less hectic pace thru Beaver Creek construction. When we came thru the Alcan border, Alaska hwy was a bear.....it was hell

Den
You won't be able to get something like that at the mess hall........boy!!! That looks so good.

We are now in Watson Lake...road construction just outside of Watson Lake is a mess.....had to wait 1/2 hour before the pilot car led us thru....it should be finished by the time you make it south.

Safe travel
Jim

Have family in North Pole and there used to have a small campground at Santa Clausehouse, but closed down a few years ago.

Along Chena Hot Springs road just NE of Fairbanks the 3 state parks were being re-built last summer. Two were finished and the 3rd Rose Hip was 1/2 way done.

We stayed at the RV park in 2008.....visited the place on this trip to see if it had changed any, talked to one of the employees about the closing. She said that the RV park is in need of a lot of repairs plumbing/electrical, and they didn't won't to invest to upgrade the place.
When we were at the park, we did not have a toad with us at that time, so some of the day trips we rented a car or if the RV park had transportation for any of the tours we opted for the shuttle.....they had a nice shuttle service from the RV park to Pioneer park....and to a couple of other attractions.
What a loss of a nice RV park.....when we where at the North Pole, they had Santa and Mrs. Claus as part of a everyday thing....I guess they had to cut back with having them appear everyday. I also noticed the hired help was a bit thin.

Sis-n-Law lives about two blocks away from Santa Clause House. They used to have a small gauge train run behind the store into the woods. At lease in the summer tourist season the place seems to be busy. Was in that area for 20 days last Aug. The only other CG on that area is about 10 miles Northwest of North Pole on a side road called Badger Rd. (Riverview RV Park)

Fast Eddy's is getting a lot of good advertising on here. Tok is 200 miles from Fairbanks but I eat there on average 5 times per year. They also have a pretty darn good salad bar.
