We are here at the Isleta Lakes & RV Park and Casino. We had a Big and Bad Strom come through. They had to close I-25 both ways through Albuquerque tonight. I think the wind was around 40 to 60 MPH for some time. Some People said that was the strongest storm that they could remember.

Heading that way...

I lived in Albuquerque many years, and with realities there, visit often. Bad storms, high winds, dust storms, extreme cold, extreme heat..... Yes, that seams about normal to me for Albuquerque.....

Friday Night was around 90 miles an Hr. Thay said that was the worst wind since 1930. With the Rain and Lightning and Thunder it was something. The Locals were calling it the Green Chile Hurrcaine.

I live about six miles from Isleta and we didn't get the worst of it. The locals are grateful for the storms. It's been four years with almost no rain.

Sorry you had to share our good fortune

Dick

I will arrive tomorrow. I'll be in Corrales. I do understand that the weather was very bad and they had a lot of the hill behind their place washed out, etc.

Looks like the place where I usually park my RV was spared though.... My BIL has it set up with a 50 amp box, water, and sewer clean out for me to use when staying there.
