America the Beautiful Annual Pass?
we are planning a trip next spring to Sedona (our 2nd trip in the 24' MH), and then working our way north
plan to cover Grand Canyon, most of the parks in Utah, then to Grand Teton/Yellowstone and Glacier
staying in USFS/NPS sites as much as possible
what will this pass do for me (Canadian)?
I have been combing the sites, but it is not clear where the pass is useful
I understand it is for entry, not RV overnight
I see that most of the Utah parks have a weekly entry fee - does this get us in for free?

We have bought the pass the last two winters we went south. It costs eighty dollars, but we found it more than paid for itself. It doesnt cover camping, but it certainly encourages you to stop at more parks if they are already paid for. It did cover the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert\ Petrified Forest, Zion etc. That was only a few of many we visited that were included. I would buy one again next time Im heading on a long trip. You pass many things that are included.

A lot depends on where you live and where you travel to as to if it is worth it or not.

The regular pass just gets you into the parks day after day. There is a special one for Canadians.
The senior pass gets you into the parks and many parks allows for 1/2 off camping. It's only for U.S. citizens 62+.

We've had one every year for the last 10 and it's always paid for itself. It's park/site admission only for us Canadians (we don't qualify for the senior's pass because we're Non Immigrant Aliens), but check the full admission prices for day use or weekly entrance, and you'll only need to go to a couple of parks or sites to see the value in it. It's good for anything that begins with the word "National" as well as BLM, USFS, and ACOE sites. Camping and other amenities not included, unless otherwise specified at the site.

Only if it's a National park...not a State Park.

We also purchase an Annual US National Parks Pass nearly every year , $80 US, and is available for anyone to purchase, there is no special one for Canadians. It does pay for itself after visiting a few parks, thought the parks do have different entry fees, you would have to total up Park fees of parks you would be entering to see the benefit. When purchasing, you are required to sign the back of the pass, then as you enter each park you present the pass with your photo ID/Drivers licence. This prevents the pass from being used or shared by others. You can purchase one when you enter any US National Park.

Keep in mind that there are some added benefits to the America the Beautiful pass other than just use in national parks, such as national forest day passes, and even some state park systems (I think 4 states park systems accept them including Louisiana and Arkansas)
