Angry Another Place Not Interested In RV Business

Just thought I would share yet another that must not need our business. I was at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover,MD and was told to leave or be towed. This was after I dropped a bunch of cash in the mall as well as eating in Bobby Flays and playing in the casino on site.THIS WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON ON A WEEKDAY, NOT OVERNIGHT! I was parked in an EMPTY lot at the outskirts of the lot. No posting that oversize was not permitted was to be found.
I was told to park at Wal Mart down the street so that's where I will spend my money.

Wow, that mall, though pretty busy, generally has empty spaces during the day. I used to go there a lot when I worked at Fort Meade. Guess I won't be going there any more.

Completely on the otherside of the US is the city of Valencia. Especially at Lions Ave/Pico Canyon and the 5 fwy. There is a Camping World at this off ramp but you can't park anywhere else. We were parked at the Ralphs grocery store getting some supplies and found a printed note on our windshield saying there is no RV parking. Thankfully they left a note rather than a ticket. I looked up all the stores in the shopping center and sent them an email just explaining the event, nothing nasty, but never heard back from any of them.

This forum would be a good place to share with other RVers the places where they are not welcome, if for no other reason than to avoid possible tickets.

If I had parked a legally registered vehicle in a public lot with no posted restrictions, while shopping at several of the tenant merchants, I would have told them where they could put their attitude.

Same thing happened to me there. Empty parking lot and security told me to get out of there and park across the busy road at walmart. I couldnt believe it

"Security" is usually a low-wage rent-a-cop that gets bored and likes to be pushy.

That is what is needed here.. The O/P should look up the addresses (Both Corporate address and the stores in the mall) of the stores he shopped in and send them a very nice copy of this thread.

Did that once with the editor of a magazine (Sent him a copy of a thread) and we both got a good laugh..But suffice to say it was a very very different thread.

I have started a text file in my map overlays.. Places to boycott.

The mall named by the O/P... Just got entered.

That makes about as much sense as nothing, although I note we're talking about the state that taxes rain. Need to find out who owns and manages that place and ask them if that is their policy.

Yeah, welcome to Maryland. The only state I believe that taxes rain water. I have no idea how they came up with that one. Politicians with too much time on their hands I suppose.

We always hit the Walmarts, pull in, drop a couple of hundred, and pull out by 8AM..it's good business unlike Arundel.
