Any Campground open year round near Scranton Pa?

I have to head back to Ct from Fl soon and will be headed up 81 north to scranton and over to Connecticut on 84. I am on the west coast of Florida. Does anyone have any recommendations for places to stay that would be open?

If you get in a pinch and are willing to turn off 81 onto I-78 (and then I-287 to get to I-84), I can get you a place to stay on my big cul-de-sac or at my farm (if the snow melts over the next few days!). Both are right off I-78 Exit 11 in NJ. PM me if interested.

I would doubt there is anything open around Scranton as we have had a horrendous winter. Very cold with near record snow.
Be sure to winterize. It is supposed to be far below average again next week.
Good Luck

I believe Jonestown KOA just north of Harrisburg is open year round.

If you come up 81 and take 22/78 to 33 to 209 thru Milford,NJ...where 209 hits back at 84...right at the bridge that takes you into NY...there is Tri-State C/G that is open all year long...
If you prefer to stay on 81 to 84 ( I think 81 is a terrible road north of Harrisburg)...get off at exit 1....on 84.....go straight across 209 toward the Home Depot...Tri-State at end of road....big pull thrus..winter water...Chuck

I ended up at the old Jonestown KOA which is now Jonestown AOK . Needs work but was ok for an overnight. Plowed and water/sewer for 25 bucks. Guy that lives there wanted to try to collect 50 bucks to give to owner. I prefer not to give out cash to seasonal campers so the owner called me back after I left a message, and came by to collect instead of having me drop in night box.
Is Licksdale a different place?

Lickdale campground is now called Jonestown KOA.

There was an old Jonestown KOA which has been renamed to Jonestown campground.

Is that confusing enough for you?
