We will be visiting a daughter who has moved from NJ to the Brentwood (LA) area and we would welcome any information or recommendations on campgrounds a reasonable drive from their location. They are right off the 405 at Sunset in the UCLA area. Thanks for your help!

The 2 closest to your destination that I know of are:

DOCKWEILER BEACH RV PARK (near Marina del Rey and LAX - gets lots of noise from the jets at LAX)
LA County RV Parks

Malibu Beach RV Park (which has tight spaces and expensive rates) Malibu RV Park

otherwise many more choices that will involve a 30 to 50 mile commute to the north, east or south.

Unfortunately there really isnt a whole lot in the metro area. As Jim said Dockweiler and Malibu are probably closest.
A couple other alternatives are Eastshore RV park in San Dimas is really quite nice and not too bad for distance. Close to Eastshore is Fairplex RV park in Pomona which is more like a parking lot
