unfortunately that section of NJ is very congested. as mentioned a lot of people from western NJ and PA heading to eastern NJ/NYC in the morning. and then they all return home in the evening. northern NJ is heading south in the am and southern NJ is heading north in the am. they then head in the opposite direction in the evening. property demands in the central area of NJ are mostly for living and business. the few campground that were there have closed.

There is another campground in Clinton Township off of NJ-31 [I think] on Alerton Road, but I forget the name (even though i used to live near there). Maybe Gary can chime in. although there is an ordinance (i believe local) that you can only stay for 2 weeks. you can leave and return the same day, but you have to leave after 2 weeks. i had a friend that stayed there one summer. he and another guy would swap campsites every 2 weeks to comply. i've been full time for 4 years and that was about 5 years before that. it may not even be there anymore.

Thank you all very much for the great advise. My wife's assignment is for about 12 weeks and she starts on July 2. She will be back after two weeks for a few days and will leave shortly thereafter for a few more weeks. While she is there during her first trip she will explore the possibility of driving our motor home to camp for about three weeks. If it so happens that it is not feasible we may fore go camping and just go visit and stay with her in the motel. Whatever we might decide, I want to sincerely thank you, once again, for the great pointers and offering to help.
Respectfully,
srh
