Any one know of a "Special" CG in the Chesapeake bay area?

My wife and I are traveling through the Chesapeake Bay Area this summer. We're looking for a high-end resort type RV park - a place to be pampered - preferably on the water. Have any suggestions?

Have you stayed there? Some of the reviews are terrible!

Really, Cherrystone is the name of the park I was looking at with the many poor reviews.

If you read the good reviews, it does sound nice. I was really looking for an "over the top" OMG resort. One not to miss! There seems to be many nice campgrounds up and down the coast. I just don't want to miss an opportunity to stay in the "exceptional" resort.

If you are willing to go further south (near Ocean City, MD) try Castaways:

You can check out this place...www.outdoor-resorts.com/vb/index.php I've never stayed at this Outdoor Resort, but I have some friends that have stayed here numerous times and they swear by it.

The other Outdoor Resorts that I have stayed at have been very nice.

I've looked at Castaways website and read reviews and it looks like the winner.

Castaways looks great! Does anybody know a resort like that, but maybe a bit more south?

My vote goes to Outdoor Resorts of America in Sandbridge Va (by Virginia Beach). Been there, done that, loved it.

Try Bethpage.... It's one of the cleanest parks I have seen.
