Hide-A-Way RV Park Ruskin, FL

We're here for the first time. Got here Thursday and will leave April 1st.

Raining for the past 2 days in the 40's & 50's (due to snow system in Panhandle, GA, SC). Ten day forecast full of high 70's and low 80's.

GC is 645 per month. Loads of activities and entertainment. Lots in the "transient" area are grassy, most with trees, level, FHO, and 3 -4 times wider than our MH.

Friendly natives here in the park.

Nothing fancy, just fine for our needs though.

Lots are available.

[QUOTELooking for temps at least in the mid to high 70s. Figure we will have to be at least south of Kissimmee. Would prefer something more toward the Gulf side. A lot of scheduled activities are not a must. Prefer setting outside reading, etc. Plus some day trips.
Our RV is a 34 foot Class A gas, with two slides. We tow a car on a dolly.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated. [/QUOTE]

I assume you are talking about daytime temps of 70+. It has been cool here for a couple of weeks, but spring is only a couple of weeks away. If you can accept night temps of 45 - 55 and day temps of 65-80, come om down to Salt Springs. We are about 80 miles north of Orlando in the Ocala National Forest.

The spots are FHU and ample in size. I believe the senior price is $16 per night. Many folks stay all season. Locals can get it pretty full on weekends, especially holidays.

PM me if you want more info and definitely contact me if you come down. I live about a mile from the park.

Larry & Penny Thompson Park in Miami near the Miami Zoo is super! Love it there. Off of the Florida Turnpike at 184th St about 20 minutes south of the airport. Very close to everywhere if you have a car too.

Bargain rates ($350-500) for a really nice park in Crystal River

If you can tolerate slightly cooler temps (40s-50s nights, 65-80 days) there is a real bargain park just north of Crystal River. It is an ownership park and each owner sets their rates, but most are asking $350 -$500 monthly for winter season, some including electric. Some owners will rent by day or week. Various size lots from standard 40x80 to huge. Nice gated park with screened and heated pool, very friendly to renters, has dog park, abuts a state bike trail and boat ramp along the FL barge canal, can bike 4 miles to the gulf. Take note: No cable, and Wi-Fi available only at the clubhouse. Lots of rivers, fishing, kayaking in area, more 'old Florida' atmosphere. You can check out the video on the home page, then click on the blue star to see rentals availability, rates, photos, and contact info for the individual lots. Doubt you will find a nicer park at rates this low. Nature Coast Landings RV Resort
