Any Suggestion for PNW CG?

Ok changing plans for our summer trip. Can anyone recommend a campground on the coast of Washington or Oregon? We would like to be walking distance to the beach or water.

I have moved your post here into its own thread to avoid hijacking the thread you posted it in regarding black tank maintenance.

There are many great spots in the Pacific Northwest Coast. Oregon state parks are some of the best in the nation. Cape Blanco is one of our favorites. Near Newport, Oregon Pacific Shores Resort is right on the water and a wonderful spot but a bit pricey.

Best of luck.

Rick

Beverly Beach, north of Newport is a nice state cg
Beverly Beach State Park, OR - Campground & Camping Details - ReserveAmerica - [OR] as is South Beach, south of Newport is also nice, with a large playground area for kids if needed Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department: South Beach State Park

If you prefer private RV resorts, Premier RV resort south of Lincoln City is very nice and Sea & Sands, also south of Lincoln City is about as close as you can get to the ocean in an RV site but the ocean sites are usually booked way ahead of time. Sea and Sand RV Park on The Oregon Coast
We've stayed at all of these and we like them all.

Lots of the Oregon state parks provide access to the ocean and they are the best around. Beachside State Park and Tilicum Beach (USFS) provide campsites where you can look right out your window at the ocean. Cape Lookout State Park and Beverly Beach State Park, George Washburn also provide easy access to ocean.

If you need/prefer private campground, KOA in Waldport may be a possibility. Pacific Shores in Newport may not look kindly at a "trailer." Sea Perch in Yachats is right on the ocean. In the south, Turtle Rock and Ireland's, both in Gold Beach, provide easy access to ocean.
