Any visits to Shenandoah Natl.Park in a Class A?

Hi all -

Anyone have experience in the Shenandoah Natl.Park in their motorhome?
Are the campgrounds accessible to big rigs? Any issues? Is it a boon dock situation? Etc. We will be driving a 40+footer. Thanks in advance!!

We have stayed at Big Meadow and Loft Mountain in our 40'.

It's a boondocking experience. No hookups of any kind. While you can get a big rig in there, the parks weren't designed for them so it pays to be patient and have someone outside looking out for you as you enter your site. Lots of trees! I don't think I've tried to put my rig into tighter sites than what I have found there.

I don't do first-come first-served situations, so I tend to lean towards Big Meadow as there are more reservable sites there.

This has been a good resource for us with our 40' motorhome. We love public parks! Especially if you want to make reservations, you can click on every site to see what it looks like. Keep in mind that trees grow so when checking these photos look at where the trees are located. Some may be too close to the parking area.
