Been by there, but have not stayed. Looks like a nice SP. FYI, if you are looking for a place to worship on Sunday, our son is the pastor at First Christian Church in Wheatland just south down I-25. Tell him "Hi" from Mom and Dad L. He likes to fish-maybe can tell you where the hot spots are.

Yes i stayed there several years ago. I had to back the motorhome and car hauling trailer in, but a very pleasant area. There are some incredible wagon ruts in solid rocks there that you MUST see.

Planned on seeing the ruts. Did you stay at the Sandy Beach campsite on the water or another one? Thanks for your reply.

I know we could see water from the site. Its been 8 years I think so my memory is not real good. We were doing a trip following the Oregon trail with my 3 sons. Was pretty interesting.
