Anyone going to the Big E - Springfield, MA

We're thinking about heading up to the Big E for a couple of days at the end of this week. RV Parking/Bookdock camping is only $20 a night .. not that bad. It's on a first come - first served basis. We're thinking about heading out on Thurs, probably leaving Sat or Sun at the latest.

We haven't been to the Big E before, but it's only about 140 miles round trip, and we have nearly a full tank of fuel in the motorhome right now, so it should be a nice, inexpensive, couple of days away from the house.

If we don't do the Big E, we'll probably head out to the White Memorial Conservation Campgrounds this weekend instead. That's a real short trip from home (40 mile round trip), and we enjoy the outdoors and this weekend they are hosting a star party and their 31st Annual Family Nature Day.

The campsites on point folly are still open for a few weekends and are only $17 per night. At 32' long we will have to stay on one of the campsites near the entrance, but it too would be a nice weekend away.

We've taken the car and driven through Point Folly to check it out. Had reservations last year but it was a total rain out weekend so we bailed. We have a 32' also . . . it looked like some of the sites on the point would work. Have you tried any of them?

It looks like a really nice place but the lack of online reservations makes it tough.
