NE is one of the states where the legislators have drank the Camp Ground Owners Assn's kool-aid and passed a law that says "No overnight camping except in a licensed campground"... Good reason to take a more southern route when you travel.

By NE do you mean Nebraska? This was about a campground in Rhode Island, part of New England,(NE) but of course that's not a state, it's a region. You can stay 10 hours in a Nebraska Rest Area. Also, according to Walmart, only one store in Nebraska forbids overnight parking.
