Looking for a nice lakeside RV campsite maybe near Phoenix, Payson AZ. Would love to do a little fishing as well. Any recommendations would be Great,

What time of year are you planning to travel? During the summer there are a couple of lakes near Showlow. East of Phoenix is Roosevelt Lake. You'd better hurry, though. We haven't had any rain since January, so there's some question of which lakes will have water.

Might look at Lake Pleasant, north of Phoenix. A Maricopa County Park is there and has campsites.

Roosevelt Lake has a very nice dry campground - Cholla; Show Low/Pinetop/Greer has good lakes; south of Tucson is Patagonia Lake State Park - lovely; Prescott has some lakes.
