Arizona RV Park

We are looking for an RV Park in Arizona to spend a month or 2 in this winter. We are looking for a park that has a very active outdoor group. Things like hiking and biking. Also would like a park that actually has RV’s. I’m not sure how a place full of park models is called an RV Park. Looking for other full time RV’ers. Thanks for your help!

Check out DeAnza Trails RV Park in Amado, AZ, about 25 miles south of Tucson on 19. Plenty of activities and you can’t beat the weather.

apache junction

We like LaHacienda in Apache Junction 40 ft max. Many activities biking, hiking east of Phoenix . Many RV but also park models too.

Is "park Model" a fancy name for a mobile home?

Yes. Or “manufactured “ homes. They sure aren’t RV’s.

You'll find that 'snowbird' parks will have Park Model trailers. That's because many spend up to 5-6 months there and many just drive their cars back and forth.

Another option for you would be Maricopa County parks (greater Phoenix area) or state parks - no Park Models. Of course, only 2 weeks max but if you wanted to go this route it's not difficult to change locations and sometimes that's even better for doing new things. You'd also have to plan your own activities.

We have mild winters in Prescott. There are hiking groups, kayaking and a lot of hiking trails. Two rv parks come to mind: Point of Rocks, http://pointofrocksrvcampground.com/ and Fairgrounds, http://www.fairgroundsrvpark.com/ At 5200' elevation I have been surprised how many winter here.

I have had better luck looking for RV Resorts in Arizona. Instead of RV Parks.

Sundance1 in Casa Grande. Active hiking group and lots of other activities. 45 miles to Phoenix, 60 miles to Tucson. Easy day trip to the Superstition Mountains. Altitude is about 1400 feet so 3-4 light frosts over the "Winter". The Green Valley south of Tucson is closer to 3000 ft elevation as I recall.

You don't say what part of Winter. Jan-March is very popular and this late you might have an issue finding a place for 2 months.

We go October thru April and last Winter, with the hurricanes in FL and TX, AZ seemed much busier than normal.

RV Park Arizona

Check out Desert Trails RV Park in Tucson. Caters to 55+ crowd and looks like it will be just what you are looking for. Very active with hiking and biking right out the back gate to park lands. Good luck.

We're in Carriage Manor RV Resort and we loose at least 1 rv lot every year to a park model, or now HUD homes. But residents own their own lot, so. . .

We get over to Valle del Oro in Mesa now and again, and they have quite a few rv lots and is a very active park.

You can also look at the link below for RV Parks in Arizona. Most have a clickable link to the park website.
