We are on vacation and from Vancouver, WA we have traveled to Ft. Worth, TX, Lake Jackson, TX, Hot Springs, AR. We came the southern route thru Cal. But are thinking about going back the northern route any pro's or con's on this route home?

I have done several more northerly toutes - 70, 90/94, 80/84. Depending on your interests, any are OK. One route that we have taken from Tx, and liked, was 40 to Abq, up to Santa Fe, through SW Colorado, Salt Lake, Boise and across 84. Some high altitudes but lots of scenery and places to stop.
