Travel Trailer Village

Cherry Hill Park is the Closest Campground to Washington, DC :|: Cherry Hill Park

These are 2 parks that are close to Arlington Va. I have stayed at Prince William Travel Trailer Village a few years ago. It is simple, clean, inexpensive, and quiet. It is about 25 miles South of DC. Cherry Hill I am told has a lot of amenities and has a shuttle into DC, but is more expensive. People that have stayed there give it very good revues.

This is the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority for camping. I have stayed at both Bull Run and Pohick - liked them both.

Two thumbs up for Cherry Hill. It is a little pricey but easy access to the city is worth the price.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I'll probably go with the lower price ones, around $30, a little further out but looks pretty nice.

Prince William Forest Park is a fairly nice park with few ammenities. I live about 3 miles from it.

Prince William Forest Park - Camping for tents & RVs (U.S. National Park Service)

I have to say though that you need to time your travels as the trip the DC can take and hour or two during traffic congestion. Between 930am and 3pm and after 7pm it's generally not to bad.
