Any suggestions for FHU in/around Ashville, NC? We have a 30 foot MH/30 amp. Hoping for the end of this Month if the drifts blocking the MH melt.

Bear Creek CG is next to I-26 and I-40, is open all year around, has back-in or pull-through, good facilities, good WiFi, and nice people.

I just noticed; our signature photo is of the MH at Bear Creek CG. We like level lots, and they are pretty far apart from each other, too.

I would highly recommend Mama Gerties..... We stayed on the top tier of sites way up on the mountainside. It was SO COOL to wake up and look out and see all the fog.....DOWN below us. Once the fog would clear the views below were superb !

Thanks
Hhg

Call to make sure that they're open for the season. They close down during the winter.

Hi acerv47,
Consider a KOA. The CG is at Asheville East KOA | Camping in North Carolina | KOA Campgrounds The CG is close to I-40.

We stayed at the KOA in Ashville a few years ago. it was clean and the staff was quite helpful. I was trying to fix DD's doll stroller and got a serious cut on my hand. They gave us directions to the nearest clinic and even offered to drive us there or watch DD whatever we needed. We had MIL watch DD and followed their directions to the clinic. After many many stiches they helped us disconnect etc.. when the stay was over. Very nice people.

We stayed at Lake Powhatan National Forest- in October- Not all sites have Electric(but no need either when temps are cool)- woodsy, big sites, clean, nice restrooms, Close in ,very inexpensive- loved it.

Very close to the Apollo Restaurant-great value/food

We really like Creekwood Farm in Waynesville. It's about 25 miles from Ashville on I40. Really nice, especially if you have a site on Jonathan Creek. It is also a Passport America park.
