SWMBO wants to visit the Biltmore House this fall. Anyone know of a good CG "with hook-ups" within 25 miles or so. Don't want to disturb neighbors with our genset running.

Check out Mama Gertie's. A really nice CG. Probably 10-15minutes away from Biltmore.
The campground is terraced up the side of a hill, with nicely landscaped spots. Had no trouble backing into my site. Tell them what equipment you have and they will put you in the right site.
Here's there info.

Yep, it's a twisty mountain road to get to it. I had no problem negotiating the road to the Campground, and it was worth the trip.

We took our camper with us to Biltmore. See the Biltmore website for instruction about RV's. They will want you to check in at the Bus/Large Group check in office right at the front when you turn in. This will save you from waiting in the possible long line at the standard ticket counter. Then they will give you instructions to the RV/Bus parking lot. There will also be attendents to help you. It worked out nice for us. The road is a little tight and twisty but no problems at all should be had by any size RV. Don't worry you should be fine. They even have RV parking over at the Farm/Winery.

Hi,
Its been a number of years since I stayed in this campground, but it is close to Asheville and to I-40.
The campground is Bear Creek RV Park -
http://www.ashevillebearcreek.com/index.html
They still look like a nice place - and they offer 10% off if you mention their webpage!
I am headed up that way in October; going to stay a bit off the beaten path in Bat Cave to spend some time at Chimney Rock Park - its about 30 minutes from Asheville. The campground is Creekside Mountain Camping - website is http://www.creeksidecamping.com/
Good Luck,
Todd
