we spent most of the day yesterday there and hardly saw a bug. of course there was a little wind blowing , and it was nice, beach was wall to wall poeple, and the campgrounds were full. water temp must have been 80 or better, and the waves were great. my grandkids and i were exhausted from jumping the waves. now if you go to the bay side, you better have one of those hats with a net and gloves. ain't md great1

Oceanside is the way to go for sure, almost always get that southeast wind off the sea, makes it tougher for the smaller attackers to get to you.
I really do like that place with the horses and deer coming right up to the camper,99% of the people have been great, even when the place is full,it's not crowded on the beaches.
Did you get to do the kayacking Lenny?also, did you inquire about taking your Jeep on the beach?Thats what I would like to try,but first I need a Jeep!
Instead of that shotgun,'not a bad idea',I was thinking, how to get hold of that 'Dracula'guy and his little bat buddies,I think bats like to eat 'skeeters',it would be perfect.

hey whaler, a friend of mine has the pass tp ride on the beach and he said it cost 100.00 a year, so when you get that jeep, figure on a extra bit of $$$

Yes, I did take the kayak out, we went in the Marsh areas and got up close on the horses, allot of fun. In fact when I got home, I sold my hard shell, and bought a high quality inflatble, we just used it in NH, just as good and allot easier to transport.

I did not take the jeep on, because I did not have the tow strap, high jack shovel etc. It was like 75-100 like the other poster said. You can always buy my jeep, I want to get a quad cab p/u...
