There are COE campgrounds at Lake Altoona and Lake Lanier near Atlanta, and there are probably some others that I do not remember. Have not been to any for several years, but when we lived there all the coe campgrounds were absolutely packed on summer weekends (most squatted on sites early in week) and were "party cities". Things may have changed by now. If I were going to stay somewhere for Six Flags I would look around Cartersville (Red Top Mountain).
