For many years my wife and I wanted to visit eastern Canada, but we were care givers first to my elderly Aunt with alzheimers and later to my mother-in-law with her failing heart. When we finally had a bit of freedom we decided on a quick visit to our northern neighbor. That was in 2005 and was supposed to be our only trip that far north. We saw Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, had a great time and met a lot of wonderful people. In fact, we had such a good time that in 2006 we went back and added Newfoundland, Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. Then, in 2007 we went to New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island again.
The people are so friendly and helpful. The roads are in great condition with little traffic. The wildlife was magestic and the fishing fantastic.
For 2008 we have committed to a trip to California, but 2009 will find us back in Canada for two or three months and we'll spend a lot more time in Newfoundland.
So, for the people, the seafood, the wildlife, and the total vacation experience visit Atlantic Canada.
