Okay, I'm a bit confused...how did Yosemite NP get in the path of the 2017 Solar eclipse? The total Solar Eclipse will be nowhere near Yosemite. To see the path visit NASA - Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 Aug 21

I'm am planning a three week RV Trip leaving from California and hopefully, getting a RV spot around the Tetons/Jackson Hole Wyoming for the celestial show. From there heading onto Chicago and back to California, hitting various National Parks and Cities along the way. Anyone one interested?

I just posted a post looking for a Solar Eclipse RV Tour/Caravan/Rally, then I found this thread.

Yeah, you could be on to something.

I would think fluidity in planning a must for this, get a five day forecast, prepare to move, find a parking lot and watch the show from the rooftop.

Worked for the space shuttle.

Good catch, I meant Yellowstone. Not Yosemite!
