William,
Let me add my welcome to iRV2.com.
I'm going to link your post down into the Need Campground Information forum where it will get more on-topic page views and hopefully a faster response.

Hey William, we didn't stay very long as we were on our way to Indio last January, but we found the Caravan Oasis Resort to be excellent. Here is a link to their web site: Caravan Oasis Resort

There are lots of places in Yuma where you can rent for the season.
One in particular we liked is a place called Country Roads on the east side of Yuma. Very nice and lots to do.
Visit there web site at: Country Roads
As I mentioned there are a lot more, but without being down there I don't know of a way for you to check them out.

We stayed out in the foothills approx. 10 miles East of Yuma. I can't remember the name of this gated RV resort right now, but it was really clean, and well groomed. The high brick walls prevented much wind from entering. Monthly price was surprisingly reasonable.
UPDATE: I suprisingly remembered with a memory jog from Woodall's. Bonita Mesa RV resort
