We stopped at this campground on our way to Ft. Pickens NSS.
The road to the campground is paved and good. The campground is hard to find because there are very few signs with directions on them.
The roads in the campground are sand/dirt and have lots of ruts and potholes in them. If it is wet I would be afraid to drive on them
The hook-ups are new and the water and sewer hook-ups are good. The electric doesn't seem to have enough capacity. Our surge protector kept kicking off due to low current.
After getting everything hooked up, leveled, and set we found out about the electric problem. The owner checked it out and we all decided that we wouldn't be able to spend the night there. He refunded our money and we unhooked and headed down the road to another campground.
The owner has owned the campground about a year and is trying to get it fixed up & running. He has put several new hook-ups in but the electric was never checked out for proper capacity so it is not good enough for most newer campers with all of their electric gadgets. He is in the process of adding more camp spots and hopes to have them by next year.
This can be a nice place to camp if everything is done right. We will probably check it out in the next year or two to see how everything is going, but for now we will not be staying here.
