I will be in MO & KS in a couple of days and I will be wanting some good BBQ. Where can you get good BBQ in southern MO or KS? I will be traveling on Hwy 160.

It is little far south from you, but Cowboys BBQ in Slado, Texas is really good. That is between Waco and Georgetown on I-35.

I'm not familiar with highway 160, but Kansas City if famous for barbecue. We were just there, and you can read our blog post on 3 barbecue restaurants we visited HERE.

Memphis is also a great barbecue town. You can read about our stop at 2 barbecue places we made there last year HERE.

We had wonderful barbeque in Olathe Ks at Oklahoma Joe's About Oklahoma Joe's

As well as Sneads BBQ ,1001 E. 171st St., Belton, MO

A great resource for us is the Roadfood website Roadfood.com - The most memorable local eateries along the highways and back roads of America ; great reviews and pix of restaurants all around the country, by real people (well, foodies, but not critics).

Oklahoma Joe's was our top pick of the 3 places we tried in Kansas City. Try the Z-Man sandwich.

Porky's in Memphis. The best. Better than Beal Street.

Ditto for Memphis, you got to go to Lenords. Here is the link: Leonard's Pit Barbecue - Home

My brisket sandwich was the best I ever had, and the ribs were also great. Prices were very good.
