I am looking for help with finding the nicest campground in Lake George. I was looking at the Lake George RV Park, Lake George Escape, and King Phillips.
We are looking for a higher end campground with plenty of things to do, that is still close the Lake.
From the web sites, it looks like Lake George RV Park may fit us best, but I am looking for some help.
Thanks

Good morning. When we lived in NY we camped at lake George quite a bit. Our friends with children always stayed at Lake george RV park. always raved about it. many activities for the children. This was during the summer months, I don't know about this time of year. We usually stayed at smaller parks since no children involved except for grandkids. Lake George is a beautiful area non the less.

Lake George RV Park hands down, albeit the CG is a few miles from the lake. They do have a shuttle to the downtown area where the lake is. you might be able to take advantage of that if it fits into your schedule.
I stayed at Lake George Escape once and we couldn't even go outside without getting eaten by mosquitoes.

Lake George RV Park is by far the best. Excellent sites, with lots of in-season activities. A bit pricey, but well worth it. As an aside, the free campground shuttle no longer goes to Lake George Village, only to the Outlet Shopping area on Route 9. However, the local municipal trolley service stops at the campground in-season and the rates are low.
