Best driving route and places to see

We will be leaving Mammoth National Park in the middle of Sept. heading to Gettysburg. I am looking for an easy driving route with places to see along the way. If at all possible I would like to avoid the mountains of West Virginia.I am planning two days of traveling to get there.

By "Mammoth National Park" I think you mean Mammoth Cave NP in Kentucky. If you want to avoid the WV hills, that leaves I-65 to Louisville, then I-71 to Columbus, OH, then I-70 to Penna Turnpike, to Willow Hill exit.
