Went to Jonesboro Arkansas this past week to see my grandbabies and stayed at Craigwood Forest City Park. What a nice place. It is a huge wooded park with a huge clear lake. The rv park is small with only 26 camping spots, but what a great wooded park. They have W/E and a dump site. The best part is it only cost me $10 a night with the 7th night free. You must be 55 or older to get the half price discount. They have a webb site so if you are going that way you might want to check it out. Happy Trails..

Here is one of the best kept secrets I have ever stumbled across. COUNTY PARKS WITH CAMPING In Florida. Yep, county parks. Generally they are not advertised unless you really dig into info about a particular county. A lot of them in Fla. have lakes or are on the ocean. Some of them are cheap to stay at but most of them only have W/E hook ups with dump stations that charge you five bucks to dump but this is offset by very cheap prices. We winter in Florida and we will always stay in county parks if we can find one. Other states may have county parks also. Give county parks a try and you will be spoiled for sure. One other ''down side'' is that you can only stay there a couple of weeks and then you must ''go away'' for 2 weeks before you can register again ..........

We have also found a city park that is very nice, Newport News, VA. They have 188 sites, many with W/E. The have a large lake with boat rentals. Very close to the Williamsburg attractions. They are a little higher in price, about $30/night. But that compares to almost $50 for local private CGs. You can find it at Newport News Park: Newport News Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism - Virginia.
