Best places to RV in October?

Looks like we might be able to plan a trip in October. Would like to avoid real cold nights. We have a 40' DP. Love the mountains and beach... Appreciate your thoughts and suggestions

We enjoyed a number of the great Texas State Parks a couple of Falls ago (Oct-Nov). Worked our way south as the days got shorter. Their Gulf Coast region is very nice. Campgrounds were not very busy, either.

Great time to visit Michigan. Tree leaves are at their best fall colors.

You will not need to go very far north in October.

Honestly, I cannot think of anyplace that isn't good in October. It's a refreshing change of seasons. Anyplace there are trees you are likely to see color.

Have you been to Big Bend Nat'l Park, TX? Stay in the Rio Grande campground or RV park next door. There you'll see the cottonwoods in glorious yellows against the red rock background. Absolutely gorgeous.

A trip into the Ozarks would be pretty, if you can time out the leaf change there.

Gulf coast of Louisiana if you're looking for beaches and Cajun food.
Both would be a good days drive.
