Vince, We stayed at Ocean Lakes Family Campground. It is huge (2000 sites). We had a spot that was very close to the ocean. From there we had a nice view of the ocean and walked/ran the dog on the beach. We would definitely stay there again.

It's not ocean front but we are booked in Briarcliff CG at Barefoot Landing. It is a quieter, smaller CG within walking distance of Barefoot Landing. We are booked for Dec.27th-Jan.4th. Look us up via PM. New Years Eve Reservations at the House of Blues!

If you really don't care about being "at" the Ocean you might want to check out Willow Tree RV Resort in Longs SC. We stayed there a few years back ( 2012) for a RV-Dreams event. Sites are very large and one of the cleanest places you'll find with great workers. Would recommend the park with no hesitation.

Secluded, peaceful,No frills, dirt, try myrtle beach state park. I prefer ocean lakes also I would say I'm a little hyper there must be something going on or I'm bored to death.

At the south end of Myrtle you will have your choice of three great parks. Pirate land, Lakewood and Ocean Lakes. And they will be more or less empty this time of year so no reservations required.

X2!

We have stayed at Ocean Lakes, Pirateland and Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Among the three we liked MBTP the best.

We're booked for Briar Cliff CG on the north side at Barefoot Landing. Nice quiet CG within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. We have reservations at the House of Blues for New Years Eve with no driving. December 27th- January 4th and then to Florida.

Ocean Lakes is awesome, but it's not a place to seek peace and quiet. In the warm months, it's usually packed with kids and golf carts running around everywhere. The winter months are better in that regard.

I'll vote for Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Been going there in October for many years now and like it very much.Great office and park staff and nice location with good access to all areas
