Best SW parks for full time

We will be moving full time to the Punta Gorda/Englewood area in the near future. We will be working full time so we'd like to find a park that is on the quieter side. But also a place that won't bust the bank. Any full timers in a similar situation?

Thanks for any feedback!

Most of the folks down here are retirees so unless you stay at a park next to the interstate or near an airport noise should not be a problem. It might be difficult finding a site in the winter though, most of the rv parks are full of snowbirds.

Are you 55+?

Park Hill is 55+ and is pet free. They have RV sites in their mostly mobile home park. Not sure on availability.

Alligator Park also 55+. Allows 2 pets with restrictions.

Currently parked at Encore Gulf View which is full for JFM...not age restricted and allows pets.

Just here checking things out for the future...I can already see that Punta Gorda is exactly what I am looking for as a snowbird site. It's gonna be 1K month for the peak months but I am ok with that. (And that's if I can get in.)

My boyfriend is 55+ but I won't be for quite a few years. :-) I've noticed that the partners age can vary from one resort to the next. We're hoping that my age won't be too much of an issue. I love that area and can't wait to call Florida home! Enjoy your stay!
