We just booked the Bethpage Camp Resort in Urbanna, Virgina arriving on Friday, August 17th for a week. Based on their website the campgrounds looks very nice and it is rated 5/5. The campgrounds is also close to many area attractions.
Has anyone ever stayed at this campgrounds? Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike R.

The campground IS very nice. The support infrastructure around the CG is a bit sparse and you will find yourself traveling a bit to get to civilization.
It's nice walking around the point in the campground and the piers are also nice to walk around on by the waterside.
You can also get a can of some pretty descent Clam Chowder in the store. I still have a can that I kept for just the right time.
I will be going to Bethpage in the 1st week of October to attend the Workhorse Chassis Motorhome Club rally.

Mike R., you will indeed travel a good ways to find things to do, but all in all this will be a good experience for you and your family...

Mike,
This is a family oriented CG, especially during the summer. Urbana is an interesting old port city with several eateries and Williamsburg is 25 miles away with its array of activities. The CG has a launch that goes out several times a day, I believe.

Beth Page is one of our favorites. they offer a very inexpensive water tour that allows viewing of some of the homes and sites from the water. We live about 3 hours from there so have been often and enjoyed it each time. Golf cart rentals book up early.

we stayed there last summer for their crab feist and RV show. Both were Great. The boat launch was a rain out but. Fishing from the pier is OK. Nice sceanery though. You can ride bikes into town, just down the road. Have fun, you'll like it.
