Big Bend in the winter?

I'm just starting research on a possible trip.

This would be our first time doing the RV thing by ourselves. We did it once 20 years ago with my parents (DW and I are 50).

We have two daughters. One will be in college with a break from Dec 18 until Jan 20.

The other is working at Disney and can probably get 4-7 days off any time EXCEPT Christmas time.

So, I'm looking into possibly renting a Class C in Austin and driving to Big Bend either Dec or Jan.

I see the weather is supposed to be high 62 / low 35.

Any recommendations?

This would also be our first time to Big Bend so if this is a bad time of year to go let me know - don't want the first time there to be a bummer.

We did Big Bend during Thanksgiving 2 years ago, was perfect weather, cool in the morning warming up during the day, just right in evening. Was nice sitting by fire at night. Not sure about January, but late November was perfect for us.

Good Luck!
