We stayed at Wilsons Riverfront RV Park, its on the French broad river,a few minutes from Biltmore. We stayed there in july of '09. Here are the contacts 1-828 254-4676, www.wilsonsrvpark.com It was $30. a night then, level concrete pad with plenty of room for our 34' rv.Hope this helps.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Great Smoky Mountains and Maggie Valley North Carolina (Creekwood Farm RV Park, Great Smoky Mountains and Maggie Valley North Carolina)

Not very far and an easy drive. Get a creek-side spot if possible.

X2 on Creekwood Farm. We stayed there last year during leaf season. A very nice park. Creek side spots go very fast.

Stayed at Bear Creek RV Park last summer. Very close to Biltmore, clean with cement pads. I would stay there again.

Another alternative would be Tom Johnson's Camping Center in Marion NC. Big rig friendly, full hookups and only $30 per night. If you need any service done they can handle that while you're out and about.

For a big rig I would stay clear of Bear Creek. The pullthru's are out on the street, no security, noisy, and very narrow. It is expensive. We stayed there in March, never again.
