I am being transfered to the Birmingham area and need to find a place to park on the east side near Leeds for a month or two and then on the south side near Calera for an extended amount of time. My company has closed their dealership in Monroe, NC and building a new store in Calera, AL on I65. THey have a store now in Leeds where I will work untill new store is ready. Anyone know where I can stay?

Go to Trailer Life campground guide. It has been awhile since I stayed in Birmingham. Then I stayed in the KOA and it was nice. There are two campgrounds in Hover which is south and several in Calera. Good luck.

Rolling Hill RV Park, in Calera seems to be the best choice 205-668-1168. T/L rated 6/6/6.5. Located on I65 exit 231. For Leeds and the East side of town, it is slim pickings. South of Birmingham is Birmingham South CG. 205-664-8832. TL rates it 9/9/8.5. It is on I65 at exit 242. It looks like a quick ride to Leeds via I65 and I459.

I have not stayed at either of these CGs.

You might want to contact Suncoast RV, they have a branch in Leeds and I would think that they could help you out with local knowledge. Go to www.suncoastrv.com for the list of locations and phone numbers. Good luck on the move.

Thank you guys. I have found a few places to check on when we get there. I found I had more success by using the superyellowpages.com than I did in Trailerlife directory. Ithrnk, I work for Suncoast and will be running the new store's parts & service departments when it open in October.

RV Wizard,

I have a great friend that lives in Leeds and plan to make a stop there sometime next May or June. We bought our new Meridian 36 from Suncoast in Cocoa, FL. Good luck with new job and the new store.
