Birmingham to Atlanta

There seems to be a dearth of places to stop overnight east of Birmingham on I-20. We need to overnight somewhere in there-does anyone have any suggestions? We travel in a 35 foot motorhome with a toad.

If you are looking for someplace with hookups, you can stop at Safe Harbor RV Park in Riverside, AL. It is located right off I-20 at Exit 162. Very reasonable pricing and usually have 30 A and 50 A spots available. Exception is during race weeks at Talladega. Last time I stayed there, I got a 50A spot for $25 a night.

We usually overnight at Lakeside Landing in Cropwell, reasonable priced, easy to get to, lakeside sites, nice store and station on site.

I grew up in Bham, and one of my favorite places is Mt. Cheaha State Park right around Talledega. I'm not sure about RV amenities because I've been gone from Alabama for many years, but it's worth looking into.
