I have not personally used this park. But my mom does live near it in Ocklawaha.
Maybe someone from the Villages area will answer your post as I know a lot of RV'ers live in that retirement community which is basicly a couple of miles away.
From what I can see from the road - it has park models, and is near a golf course. You'd have to travel to the Villages area for food/entertainment/etc.
I believe it has a pool. It has been there for many, many years. And I'd never heard of any type of trouble there or in the area immediately adjacent to it. ie. homes/businesses/etc.

If you want near the Villages try Recreation Plantation in Lady Lake. We have had a few rallys there. Very nice place, plenty to do and close by the Villages for entertainment.

Stayed there last winter for awhile. Not a modern park but not too bad either. Site we had was not very level but liveable. The people were friendly though.
Have a friend who will snobird there this winter.

Thank you for above comments, we are a little leery of committing site unseen for extended stays and wind up stuck in an undesirable CG for 3-4 months.

Is anyone familiar with the Ocala Ranch RV Park?

http://www.ocalaranchrv.com/

or the Woods-n-Water RV Park in Mount Dora?

http://woods-n-watertrails.com/_wsn/page3.html

Thanks again for any in-site you can provide.

Mike

Hi Mike & Lynda,
You lucky guys are getting to go to Florida for the winter! My BIL lives in the Villages and we have visited my sister (when she was alive) and BIL quite a few times. I think you would like the area, lots of golf. The Villages offer entertainment, and decent shopping. Nor'easters Dot and Kevin just bought a place in the Villages. There's a big flea market just north of there that I like to go to when we visit.

Hi Lyn.
How's George doing?

Yes we decided to get out of here for a few months. Woke up this morning to 4 inches of white stuff all over everything and that just makes it sound like a better idea.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, all you Nor'Easter snowbirds let us know where you are. We may come down to FL for a break sometime during the winter.
George is doing much better thanks. He is back to work full time (kind of). He can't do any lifting and his back gets sore when he over does it. But it sure beats sitting on the couch for weeks.
