No. There's no snow left except for the very highest Smoky Mountain peaks. Have fun!!

Don't be in a big hurry though. You do know that the speed limit all the way is 45 MPH and most places you will be hard pressed to do that speed. The parkway is for stopping and looking and I have been behind a line of cars 10 long because someone wanted to look without stopping.
Great drive if you have the time and patience.

Watch the weather, there is always the possibility of a snow producing front moving through in April or even May.

I have driven the Blue Ridge parkway in both directions in all seasons. While I don't recommend it in winter spring is a beautiful time to go
Like the prior posts have stated you will need to be patient and take your time but it is worth it. The Mid-Atlantic weather has been odd this year so take note of the weather there are some points that the wind can make it interesting. Also believe the signs some of the access points are not for MH or Trailer use and they mean it! ut by all means I say go for it and enjoy.

You might want to check out Frequently Asked Questions to check for clearances, construction and other questions.

Unless you are really high there is no worry about height, just be prepared to see some awesome sights.
Also try to stay in your lane, bikers will thank you, and you won't run the risk of running into one of them.

Come on up to the Carolinas!!! The BRP is a beautiful drive with some very nice state park campgrounds. Linville Falls is a don't miss. Short hike on a very well maintained crushed stone trail to the first overlook then still a good trail to the other overlooks. Please watch out for bicyclists also. We cyclists enjoy riding the BRP for the challenge & the courtesy of the vehicle traffic. Enjoy!!!

We were going to do the Smoky's this year, but with construction projects on going we decided to do Shenandoah NP. instead. We figure we'll take a trip to the Smoky's in 2011 when everything is finished...Their doing a lot of paving.....

With construction projects finishing up along the Blue Ridge Parkway & Smoky Mtn. area, we have decided to stop 4 nights at Shenandoah National Park (Big Meadow). And then head down to Myrtle Beach for 10 more days. Called a few weeks back to find out if there were going to be any large construction projects in the Skyline Drive / Shenandoah area. They said there were just a few small projects, but nothing that would close any area.
