Blue Water Key RV Resort still great

I have been here since 5/1, last Thursday and always impressed. Wonderful weather, cool breezes, and no insects. My pets also love it. We brought 7 other friends in rvs and everyone is impressed. Of course we have been tasting the good life in Key West. Kayaking, a sunset sail on Echo, ate at Lattitudes over on Westin's private island, Hurricane Hole, Hogfish Bar and Grill, and Kaya Island Eats, next to campground. We have 2 waterfront sites for our group gatherings and the rest are across the street from them. All sites are deluxe and mind boggling. Spoiled in paradise!

If you have the time try Geiger Key Marina, on the way to Key West.
Where the locals go, try the hogfish tacos..

We love Blue Water as well, tough getting my wife to leave...

We go to Bluewater yearly. When we leave & point north on Rte 1, I glance over at my wife, and she's crying! BW Key is the best!

Hi again Mucksavage... we'll be right behind you. Plan to arrive 5/17. We'll be at Bahia Honda next week. My wife cries when we leave too and starts talking about the next time.

Last time y'all were in that Allegro Fred. I'll have to check out your new rig if you're still there.

Have fun!!!

A stay at Blue Water will lighten up your wallet a lot.

I understand the work thing. October will be nice too, just keep an eye on the weather. We were there last year in September for two weeks and it was great.

Thats what I get for trying to read and respond to these forums on my android phone! I was reading MrFoto's post but saw your name.

MrFoto, we also like Kaya Island Eats and Hogfish B&G as well and try to make that a regular stop when we are there. Since we've been staying at Bluewater, we are finding less and less reasons to leave during our stay. Paddling around there, swimming, and getting some local Keys Lobster for the grill is perfect!

We were there in late March and April. Great place for a nice relaxing visit. Key West was almost TOTALLY under construction. Had some great food, the wife's really enjoyed Duval St and all the shopping and great restaurants, as a fact we were way too busy for my liking. Even managed a superb sunburn (ouch).

I totally agree on all the construction everywhere in Key West. But, I survived it. Our group enjoyed the sunset sail on the catamaran Echo, a highlight. Since we had 16 people they gave us the entire boat for a private evening cruise and a nice discount since we booked direct. Great wines, cheeses, champagne. They refilled our glasses as often as we wanted. Highly recommend them. Sure beat the Mallory Square mob scene!
