We were looking to get a site there for the holidays, but all the sites were booked-- that is until late last week when another lot was added to the rental pool.
We were very happy to get booked in for the holidays.
If anyone else is interested, it looks like there are more openings on this lot. Here's the link --

We stayed at Bluewater Key RV Resort a couple of years ago.
It was just beautiful! I hope someday to make it back down there. Like in January.
It was HOT in October!

We have stay numerous times at the Sugarloaf KOA not far from Bluewater. I tried numerous times to make reservations at Bluewater but was never able to as it seems you have to make them well in advance. We did get a tour of the place and even looked at purchasing a site. A little steep for my blood. That said, the place is beautiful.

We've stayed at Sugarloaf KOA before and found that it is very crowded with little privacy, at about the same price as Bluewater. The KOA does have a pretty good tiki bar and Mangrove Mama's is right across the street for good food. We also rented a boat there and had a great time doing a little fishing.
