Goulding's RV park is our favorite. It is right in Monument Valley. It is pretty much red dirt with a number of pull thru sites. They do have a nice store and an indoor pool. It is just up the road past the lodge and restaurant.

We stayed at Cadillac Ranch RV Park in Bluff back in '07. It was a nice RV park with full hookups. It was all gravel, so there was minimal dust. Location was convenient to Monument Valley.

The campground had a fishing pond, and it was located right on the San Juan River. There were nice views of nearby sandstone cliffs.

Hi beaverfever,
I've been to Goulding's. I will not return. Way overpriced for an un-level dirt/mud site where the wind is constant. Next time we will stay in Mexican Hat or Bluff. In Mexican Hat there is a CG there (Valle's?). Not much to look at, but the sites are level and the CG is well located to visit the area. In the front of the CG there is a small local restaurant. Again, not much to look at but really good food.

For me, the north end of the valley is the best views. Try to take in the drive through The Valley Of the Gods and Gooseneck State park. You may spend more time at these two places than in Monument Valley. This makes Bluff or Mexican Hat a better place for a CG. A side trip to where the Mexican Hat rock formation is located is well worth the drive.

Wherever you park, take the time to really enjoy yourselves! This is an outstanding area of our Country (most is Indian reservation territory) to experience. We liked staying at Gouldings across the road from Monument Valley.

I vote for Goulding R V park. As mentioned by Ray,IN, take time to really see the country around there.
